The North American side are the first team to qualify for the competition.
Nouns defeated TeamOne 2-0 in the North America closed qualifier for IEM Dallas, marking them as the first team to qualify for the competition. They join invited names like G2 and HEROIC in the event, which is set to take place May 29-June 4.
The Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen-coached squad received an invite to the closed qualifier where they faced off against first Vendetta and then TeamOne twice, winning all three series to book their spot in Dallas. David "cynic" Polster and Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado got much of the heavy lifting done for Nouns, although Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly was the key man in the all-important qualification series against TeamOne.
Nouns battled through the North American qualifiers
Nouns have been in decent form so far in 2023, winning online competitions like ESEA Cash Cups and CCT North America Series 3, as well as qualifying for the BLAST.tv Paris Major NA RMR. This has seen them twice rise to a ranking inside the top 50, and they will be hoping their showing in Dallas can propel them to even greater heights.
There are still a number of teams left to be confirmed for IEM Dallas, with one slot left for a team based on their ESL World Ranking. The other four slots will go to qualifying teams, with two coming from Europe (March 25-27), one South America (April 12-13), and one Oceania (March 24-25).
